The perfect accessory for diffusing scented oils, this charming oil warmer makes a handy addition to your home. Gulam Rasool hand-carves the warmer from natural soapstone with pink and beige hues. The bottom tealight holder features openwork leaf motifs in relief that reveal the flame flickering within. At the top of the warmer is a removable basin for holding scented oils, etched with petal motifs.

Close to his eightieth birthday, Gulam continues the art he learned from his elders. His father was an marble carver and jali artisan honored with the state award for excellence. Gulam has been honored with the same distinction. He still works alongside his son and other artisans to whom he has taught this craft, and treasures the role he plays in continuing this important Indian artistic tradition.
