Representing the Southern Cross, chakanas take shape in lacy silver filigree. Alfredo Inga creates earrings with an ancient Andean symbol. The chakana is taken from a constellation of stars forming a quadratic square, and represents the universe connected to the center of the world, believed to be Cuzco. It symbolizes order in family and community life.
.999 and .925 silver

Yes, I admit I bought the earrings because I feel like a queen, and the earrings will prove it !!!! But mainly to capture an ancient culture art beauty and have it on me, what a treat !! The filigrane work is beautiful, my daughter liked it too. No wonder Alfredo Inga is considered a master in this filigrane craft. Thank you for your art!
