Nengah Sudarsana finds inspiration in the unique beauty of the harlequin duck, an endangered species he wishes to immortalize through his art. Harlequin ducks usually resides on the Atlantic coast, but in spring it migrates to fast-flowing rivers and streams to breed. Sudarsana captures the bird's natural poise as he carves it from albesia wood and paints it by hand with acrylics.
