Nikom uses saa paper, from the bark of the mulberry tree, and bamboo to craft this dainty parasol in bright tiger-lily orange. Inspired by the local flora and fauna of their native Thailand, artisans adorn the parasol with hand-painted blossoms and butterflies in oil paint. The parasol is perfect for casual use or as home decor.

The craftsmanship is exquisite and I only wish it was a little wider, so everyone could see much more of this beautiful artistry!

This colorful, lovely work of umbrella art would have been perfect except I have a hard time opening it completely. Could it be due to my age(78)? I would like to find out if you also create smaller versions of these umbrellas, Mr. Nikom. I believe they are called monks umbrellas in Thailand. I would like to purchase at least half a dozen of them to give away as gifts if you do.
