A Yoruba name meaning "victory at last," Ajala is a colorful name for a colorful African mask. Hand-carved and painted by Ghanaian artisan Abdul Aziz Mohamadu, it is made from local rubberwood and features bright yellow, red and blue, along with black and white. The long shape of the face is accentuated with carved lines that curve around the top of the mask and under the eyes.
