In hues of orange and brown, the Hindu god Ganesha is depicted in this expressionist composition by Indian artist Sunil Jaiswal. He works with a mix of watercolor, acrylic, and ink on handmade paper to offer this painting, depicting the elephant-headed god in a seated posture, holding a symbol of peace in one hand and his favorite dessert, laddu, in the other. His "vehicle," a mouse, sits below one of his knees. This portrayal, known as Bala, depicts Ganesha as a young child.
