Colorful Worry Doll Wreath, "Heritage in the Round"
This delightful wreath is from Elias Garcia in Guatemala, who incorporates quitapenas or "worry dolls" made by the Lopez Garcias Family into his design. The wreath is covered with hand woven cotton fabric before being adorned with dozens of the tiny dolls, all clad in colorful hand-loomed fabric. The wreath makes a cheerful accent for any space.
According to legend, the princess Ixmucané was granted the ability to solve people's problems by the Sun God. Over time, people began to make tiny dolls or quitapenas in remembrance of Ixmucané. They would tell the dolls their problems in the hopes that Ixmucané would solve them. The custom became very popular, and continues to this day.

"Beautiful Addition to my Decor"
I love the idea of handing over my worries to a worry doll, so it is ideal to hand many worries over to many dolls. The piece is very well made, colorful and arrived safely packaged. I really like the detail, colors and fun this adds to my room..

"A heart of worry dolls!"
I have been a Hugh fan of worry dolls since childhood. This wreath is a great way to display and enjoy them! People ask about it often and many end up buying themselves - or to give as gifts.

I was first exposed to these dolls on a trip to Guatemala and have loved them ever since. I have always wished for an ornament that could be used year after year. These are perfect and will be cherished and passed down to our children
