Color Archival Giclee Print on Canvas of the Ghat in Banaras, "Banaras Ghat I"
Bengal artist Amit Bhar depicts the ghat at Banaras — the broad river-shore staircase leading to the waters of the Ganges. As dawn breaks, temple priests pray to the sun god in this beautiful work of art. Sadhana Jaipuria presents a copy of the luminous painting as an archival giclée print on canvas, as a part of her gallery's collection.
Inspired by his mentor, Shri Paresh Das, Amit Bhar has exhibited his work in solo shows in India and abroad. The artist's original paintings figure in a number of corporate and private collections.

I have been admiring this painting for many years on Novica. I finally decided to get this print for my birthday. One of my favourite paintings and artists, thank you.

"modern, natural, serene"
This print has a striking, modern look, with dark branches in contrast to the lovely colors in the background. It gives me that serene feeling of lying on my back looking up into the trees. I liked being able to order the canvas unstretched for ease/economy of shipping - I just took it to my local frame shop to have it stretched and its hanging in my dining room.
