Songbirds soar in cloudless sky as a young woman dons a hat to work in the garden. Her arms are brimming with clusters of fluffy calliandra flowers, or powder puff blossoms. Telma Morais paints a beautiful scene of idyllic joy. "The spring in the savanna of Goiás is like this — full of birds and flowers. The girl picking orange and yellow calliandras is making bouquets...to decorate someone's life somewhere," the Brazilian artist says.
