Schwab Entrepreneur of the Year Award

The Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship selects NOVICA’s CEO, Roberto Milk and President, Armenia Nercessian de Oliveira as a winners for the 2004 award. The award offers the platform for entrepreneurs to spotlight and stimulate select sustainable social innovation models. The award committee chooses social entrepreneurs to engage in shaping global, regional, and industry agendas that improve systems globally in collaboration with other stakeholders of the World Economic Forum, one of the most prestigious international meetings for economics globally. 

Roberto and Armenia attended the forum in Zurich in 2003 to receive the award. Winners of the award attended the World Economic Forum as part of the tech governors circle with captains of the tech industry such as Bill Gates, Michael Dell, and royalty such as Queen Rania of Jordan. Events included sessions and planning meetings with world leaders such as Mohammed Yunus, who was on the board of the Forum, Quincy Jones, and Lord Puttnam. Roberto made a speech on The Rise of The Cultural Creatives with case studies on how social enterprises can market to this new group, how they are a different market, and how they are value based purchasers.
