Much to my husband’s chagrin, on days that I know I won’t be leaving the house, I nearly always stay in my pajamas. Although he just shakes his head at me when he walks in the door after work, why should I put on clothes when I’m perfectly comfy in my pj’s?
However, even with my extensive jammy love, that doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate having the option to open my closet and find high quality, timeless articles of clothing as well. After all, on the days that I do get dressed, I go directly for pieces that mix a relaxed, carefree feel with a bit of dressy, stylish fashion sense. If I can be comfortable while looking chic, well, that might just be even better than my pajamas after all.
Which is why this winter (and beyond) I am more than excited to get to show off the elegance and grace of my new Artisan Crafted Cotton Alpaca Blend Cardigan in Andean Blue.
I consider myself a connoisseur when it comes to women’s sweaters (you’re automatically an expert when you have shelves and shelves full of them, right?) so as soon as I saw this amazing open cardigan, I knew that I would love it.
When it arrived (beautifully gift wrapped), after its long travels from Peru, I was right.
The combination of the rich, turquoise blue blend with the simple, long sleeve design, the classic, open front… what more could I ask for? The more that I studied the beautiful rolled collar and the detailing along the shoulders, the more that my love grew.
As well as the fashionable look of this Andean blue open cardigan, the fit and feel proved to be just as grand. The combination of the 70% cotton and 30% alpaca is smooth and soft and the way that this drapes and hangs makes it modern as well as flattering.
No matter if this cardigan is paired with leggings and a skirt or with jeans and a t-shirt, the result is exquisitely stylish. It is now my go-to sweater of choice!

Could I have found a blue sweater in a department store much closer to home? Of course. But would it have provided the same warmth, both on my body and in my soul? Nowhere close.
