As I reflect on the past year and the personal highlights for me, many great memories come to mind that happened around our dinner table. Whether we were sharing a meal with friends or just sharing our highs and lows from the day with each other over dinner, the time spent forming relationships in this one spot has been great, and it has been time very well spent, indeed.
When I spotted the hand blown “confetti” tumblers in the NOVICA shop, I immediately thought about how utterly perfect they were, because they were a visual representation of a celebration. And isn’t that what all of those meals add up to be, in the end? Yes, I know it doesn’t always feel like that when you are tired after a long day of work and don’t want to cook and/or clean up, but in hindsight, you hold on to those memories or stories shared around the table, and you grow in your relationships with others because of them. That’s certainly worthy of celebrating, even in the midst of it!
So we’ve switched out our nondescript glasses for a set of confetti glasses that remind us that our gathering time at meals is a little celebration just for us.
