This bird totem was larger than expected and handsomely done. It was a gift for my adult sons birthday. Birds are drawn to him so this was a perfect gift that enjoyed very much.
Even though they're small and wood, I want to cuddle these cockatoos looking at them. This was the second sculpture by Yudi Suardi I bought and also my second favorite only because the hummingbirds are so ingeniously clever, but I've now bought six pieces from him.
The piece is very beautiful. You can almost see the wings flutter as the hummingbirds feed. It was surprising to me how light-weight it is. And it's amazing that it was created from what was basically 'trash' wood.
