"Art gives me joy and happiness."
"I am a peacemaker.
"I was born on April 28, at Saltpond in the Central Region of Ghana. I became interested in paintings as a young child. I loved to draw animals, people, etc. Realizing this talent, I enrolled at the Ghanatta College of Art and Design. I bring out ideas quickly.
"Art gives me joy and happiness. The most challenging part of my art is constructing accurate borders. My inspiration comes at the time I have prepared the canvas ready for work. I sketch on the surface of the canvas before applying the pigments. I use acrylic on canvas and emulsion white paint. These are easy to work with and available on the market.
"Starting on my own has not been easy. I recall one instance where I wanted to sell one of my works at the Art Centre. I walked several hours with no one even showing interest in the work. Eventually, I met a gentleman who expressed interest in the painting and bought it. I worked with a printing company for a year and learned a lot about that art as well. I pursued a course in Corel Draw and, upon completing it, I decided to focus on painting.
"Marketing has been a major challenge in exposing my work. I sell my paintings locally at the Regional Art Centre.
"My hopes and dreams for the future are to show my art to people around the globe and also to one day establish my own gallery and build my house."
