Original paintings in Brazil
"Through it all, through all my studies and forays, my passion for painting has been the one constant thing in my life.""I was born in Colombia on January 15, in the historical year of 1968. I graduated as a lawyer after a studying for a period in Military School, and I also worked in a bank. Through it all, through all my studies and forays, my passion for painting has been the one constant thing in my life.
"When I was a child, I enjoyed painting portraits and coloring-in all types of drawings. I collected all sorts of magazines and leaflets featuring frescoes. I would scribble the name of my favorite artists, their dates of birth, their nationality, themes, etc. My favorite hobby was looking at all the famous paintings I cold find in books. I admired Renaissance works just as much the paintings of Picasso and Dalí. I would spend hours on end looking at their self-portraits, landscapes and figures.
"I come from a family of painters and musicians. My maternal grandfather was a born artist specializing in traditional scenes of landscapes and murals. His main theme was bullfighting. My paternal grandfather was a renowned musician.
"I traveled extensively throughout South America, but I chose to make Brazil my home. I am now blessed with the arrival of my son!
"My paintings express links with our ancestral forefathers – beings in a state of life and death. My work manifests our origins, sculpted and designed in various mystical places throughout the world."
