Original paintings in West Africa
"I especially enjoy choosing colors I use and how I go about using them. It's the process that I love.""My art is a talent from God.
"I was born in 1989 in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. My friends describe me as supportive, kind and a man of principles.
"When I was younger, my father wanted me to major in business but I was interested in art so I refused to follow his path. Fortunately, he became interested when he saw a few of my paintings, and I was able to graduate from Ghanatta College of Arts and Design. Even so, mastering this art requires passion, determination and much practice.
"I began showing paintings I'd done in art school in exhibitions and bazaars. I sometimes give images of my works to relatives abroad and ask them to help me sell them for me.
"I especially enjoy choosing colors I use and how I go about using them. It's the process that I love. Inspiration comes from the things surrounding me and, often, from reading, listening to music and taking long walks in natural settings.
"While I use acrylics on canvas, I also enjoy incorporating textural contrasts through the use of fabrics, sand, and more.
"Like other young artists, my hope is for my art to be recognized and seen in many venues."
