Zapotec Multicolor 2 x 3 and Smaller Rugs
The Colors of My Village rug truly reflects imagination, skill, and joy! It is exactly the brilliant final piece to my bathroom makeover, reflecting the colors of the Talavera backsplash tiles and other accessories, and the mirror frames and cabinet doors that I painted in strong primary colors against yellow/gold walls. It lights up the room! The weaving is precise and the natural colors are surprisingly bright. Mr. Chavez clearly loves his village and its colors.

I love the rich colors and I was looking for something that wasn't too 'busy' on the design. I am using this for my dining table top and it looks great. Just because it's called a rug doesn't mean there aren't other uses for it! I have an eclectic mix of southwest and Texas hill country so I don't want to go too heavy on the SW designs. Now I just need to find the perfect centerpiece to go with it.
I am so pleased with this lovely geometric rug. The picture can only partially speak to it's beauty and the quality and craftsmanship are absolutely first rate. It's ALMOST too pretty to put on the floor, but looks like it will last for generations.
"I don't use any chemicals because I want to contribute to the preservation of the environment and our planet. I make the colors from natural elements such as leaves, seeds and flowers."
