My review for Gifts For Baby Jesus Nativity
I first have to say this is even prettier in person. The colors are vibrant but not to vibrant. The craftmanship on the pieces is also lovely. I love that is modern but not to modern. I get lots of compliments around Christmas time when this is out.
I never wanted a crucifixion cross until I saw this one. Its simplicity allows me to reflect on what it actually represents.
This retablo incorporates a nice twist on the Christmas story: instead of lambs or camels, we see beautiful llamas giving warmth to the baby Jesus. Jose and Maria are dressed the way you would see them in a Catholic Cathedral, but the baby Jesus looks a little Peruvian to me, wearing his little chullo hat. Theres also a man and woman dressed in traditional Peruvian garments. Theyre the llama keepers. Love the big flowers in the background and around the top and sides of the retablo. This Nativity scene is more beautiful than any mass produced Nativity out there. Really hard to buy as a gift, because youll want to keep it!
