Glorious jamawar style!
This bright red and gold and saffron shawl is instantly among my favorite accessories. It just shouts the mysterious beauty and glory of all artistic things India! The jamawar style pattern in a rich gold and saffron is elegant and detailed and I love the bright warm red of the wrap. Dress it up for a wedding or wear casually for a night on the town--this is a statement piece, bold and stunning.
I love the 2 shawls I purchased, beautiful quality and such artistry. I thank you, I will cherish them. Wonderful prompt service too.
Im buying this shawl for the second time, because I ruined the first one by washing it in hot water and then drying it in the drying machine. Dont do that - hand wash it in cold water and then let it air dry. The embroidery is stunning - beautiful color, detailed and covers almost all of the shawl. Ive been getting a lot of compliments and I love it!

Red and Beige Modern Wool Shawl from India, "Modern Red Jamawar"
Inspired by ancient art, this shawl is wonderfully contemporary. Extravagant motifs mingle with circles in red, green and beige. From Sandeep Malhotra, the lightweight wrap is a modern interpretation of the intricate patterns that were once created with laborious needlework.
Red Orange Yellow Jamawar Wool Shawl, "Crimson Riches"
In red, saffron and gold, this jamawar style shawl is designed for luxurious elegance. The wrap is woven of wool and detailed with flowers and paisley motifs. India's legendary shawls were originally embroidered by hand with such intricate detail that a person could finish only one shawl in his lifetime. Jamawar shawls were not sold, but were given to kings and queens who, in turn, gave the artisan properties according to the worth of the shawl. Nowadays authentic jamawar is virtually unavailable, and only replicas such as this are available.
Black Wool and Silk Blend Kashmir Shawl with Red, "Strawberry Night"
Using the weaving pattern, which creates tiny diamond textures throughout the fabric, Saqib Khan creates this elegant shawl. The wrap is a soft blend of wool and silk in midnight black, with borders of strawberry red.
