Fatimah Mateen and Steve Royster moved into their Falls Church condo two years ago and have had a difficult time figuring out how to arrange their master bedroom, which measures 10 feet 9 inches by 13 feet 7 inches. They'd like a comfortable, organized retreat that provides storage and display. Lisa Cannon of Condo Cool in the District (www.condocool.com) has a solution. Illustration by Laura Salarano ...Lisa Cannon says: To prevent a small space from feeling smaller, resist the urge to put too much on the walls. Artwork can be changed from time to time (like a changing exhibit), so an entire collection can be enjoyed. In this space, hang one large piece over the bed and a smaller piece on either side of the window. ...Keep top-of-the-dresser clutter to a minimum with colorful storage. Cannon likes the Oval Blue Day beaded rattan jewelry boxes available from Novica ( http://www.novica.com/ , $38.95 each).
