His feeling for his natural subjects, his attention to detail and his artistic craftsmanship combine to make him one of my favorite carvers. I am simply awed by the perfection of these owls, and I will certainly save my dollars until I can add to my collection of his work. This one, incidentally, is my twelfth carving by the estimable Wayan Rendah!

Testimonial for Wayan Cakra
I just received a suar wood carving by Wayan Cakra, and I am stunned by its beauty and richness of detail. The small statuette, about 8 inches tall, is called "Sunbathing," a figure of a cameleon. The skill and pride of artistry is outstanding. Cakra has managed to capture the movement within the grain of the wood, as well as a personality within the face and body language of the creature. I sincerely hope he will have the time and vision to continue his carving, because he could have an outstanding future. I, for one, will watch for anything new from him. Also, I was extremely impressed by the care with which the sculpture was packaged for shipment. Thanks to Cakra and to all of you at NOVICA!

I just received the astonishingly beautiful carving, "Rooster At Dawn," by Pande Made Anom, and I was awed by its exacting detail, striking finish and lifelike sense of body movement. It seems on the brink of its first exultant crow of the day! It seems obvious to me that the artist has both remarkable talent and great pride in his craft, and this is one of my favorites among the several dozen carvings in my Bali collection.
