Four months ago, I ordered a covered lacquer bowl by Subin Tositarak. It was going to be an accent piece in a home bath and spa I recently had constructed. When it arrived, I was stunned by its beauty. I quickly realized that this bowl was far too fine to display in my bathroom! I have since found a more suitable place for it in my living room. I have just received 4 boxes and containers that I ordered for Christmas gifts. They were so beautifully wrapped, I used the wrapping for my gifts! The lacquer boxes were so impressive that I reordered two of them for myself. Subin Tositarak produces the finest black lacquer work I have ever seen. It is far better than those items offered in the shops I visited in Thailand. Now that I have 4 of his pieces with 3 more on my "Wish List", I think I am beginning to qualify as a "Collector" of his fine works.
