I am a college professor who works with beginning college students helping them be successful in the American college system. Many of my students are international students from all over the world (Nepal, India, Mexico, Nigeria, Somalia, Russia, Indonesia, Japan, Iran, Lebanon, China, Korea, Columbia, and many, many others). I am not sure, but I think I have had students from all the Novica regions. Many of my colleagues at work are from other parts of the world. I enjoy the mix of ideas, backgrounds, cultures, and different views of the world this all gives me. Given my background around fine craftsmanship (see above) and my enjoyment of a devise world view, Novica is a perfect fit for me. I use the website every time I need a gift or to fill some lack in my home. Sometimes I just look at the website to relax and look at the unique items – much better than television!!
What I like most about Novica:
My father was the manager of a leathercraft supply store. He wasn't a leather craftsman, but he picked the best of his customers' work for store displays, which he brought home when they were no longer needed at the store. I grew up around beautiful handcrafted objects and, although I am not a crafter, I appreciate and value good craftsmanship. I also love objects from different parts of the world. They add interest & depth to my own world. As of this past week, I have ordered items from all the Novica regions. These are unique gifts-a mask from Bali for my major professor as a thank you present, an alpaca throw from Peru for my 27 year old son who lives in a cold, mountainous part of the USA, and two handbags from Thailand made in fabric and bamboo for my daughter who is a vegetarian & wants gifts that don't use leather. There are additions to my home–bathroom hooks made out of iron and recycled glass from West Africa & several wonderful boxes.I love it all. Thank you, Novica!

The other bag, the bamboo Lahu Chic also got raves especially for the unique weaving that makes up the bag and the great style.
