Bilingual Elementary Teacher

Soy Mexicana (Chicana), Tapatía born in Guadalajara, raised in California. Hija de campesinos. I'm a bilingual fourth grade teacher. I spend too much time at school, but I love my kids.

I love traveling (12 countries, 4 continents, and counting), love meeting new people, being immersed in new cultures, the mountains, artesanía, native peoples history, día de los muertos, sushi, fresh flowers, quality time with my sister, pasta, la playa, art museums, being silly with my 4th graders, big trees state park, bailar, pretty earrings, dark chocolate, people watching, green toe nail polish, fried calamari, dulce de tamarindo, the full moon, taquitos de lengua, ceviche peruano, political comic strips,chai tea, peace, silence.

What I like most about Novica:

Original artwork/Artesanías! I'm happy that NOVICA erases the "middle man" and artists themselves get credit for their wonderful work. Not only do they get recognition but are justly paid.
