My name is Laura Mota and I was born in Lourenço Marquês, Mozambique, in 1971.

Painting is my hobby. I'm not a professional. I started painting in 2005 and since, I been a self taught painter. Initially I copied paintings learning the qualities of painting. Later, I started to use pen and paper to explore new techniques.

Painting and drawing became part of me. I just can’t stay to much time without using colors or a pencil. I get tremendous satisfaction from drawing and paintings, watching something materialize on the paper in front of me. I simple love creating.
