Lara
Jewelry designer / maker; painter; dancer
I had the great fortune of being born into a family that lives in Asia, with Spanish and American roots; and so grew up surrounded by beautiful handicrafts, fine art and the treasures of many cultures. I started painting, making jewelry and other art projects just for fun when I was a child, and continue to enjoy these hobbies today. Many people have offered to buy my work, even if I just make them for my family and friends, and have not gone into any commercial venture. I appreciate the work and LOVE that go into each piece of handicraft, and make it a point to buy an original and indigenous piece from each country I travel to. I particularly love the art of Mexico and other pre-hispanic cultures.
What I like most about Novica:
I love browsing this website just to see what new items have arrived from the various regions. Fine craftsmanship and the art of distant lands have always fascinated me. I travel for business, but I have not had the opportunity to visit many of the countries hosted by Novica, so this site is my way of experiencing these rich cultures.

Testimonial for Luis Martinez Gallardo
I bought three of Sr Martinez's Christmas Tree centerpieces as a present for my mother. Little tea lights on the trees' arms add a festive touch to the holiday table and they are sure to be a hit with dinner party guests!
