"I was born in Rio de Janeiro and fortunately my contact with art in general came early in my adolescence. Because I come from a family very involved with culture and with artists from all over Brazil, when I was very young I became fascinated by interior design. My dear mother suffered with me because every week I moved the furniture around. It was always such a surprise to her that sometimes she didn't even recognize her own house! At the age of 17 I took my first steps in textile painting, but in fact my passion was for ceramics, more precisely after visiting an exhibition where I saw some raku pieces for the first time. That day I began a long journey that has continued for more than 25 years.

"I taught for some years at the Universidade Estacio de Sá, but I ended up investing in the creation of a school-studio of which I am currently the director-coordinator. There we offer courses in mosaic, sculpture, painting, woodcut prints and ceramics. Due to the success of the courses and of the works produced there, we received the support and patronage of the region's principal academy, which gives us all the necessary support to continue with our mission of teaching and creating art."
