After 20 years in the world of finance, Beth Godoy realized it was about time she breathed new airs and decided to develop her artistic and creative skills. Her artistry has been with her since childhood, which she's been practicing ever since then. In 2010 Beth became a new and talented gem in the world of jewelry.
Beth traveled to the most paradisiacal sceneries of Brazil in search of inspiration for her first collection, which she called "Brazilian Nature." She went to Fernando de norm for its crystalline sea, the Amazon rainforest for its flora and fauna, and to the waterfalls of Rio grand do Saul. Her original collections include rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces, all crafted with a combination of gold, precious gems, reclaimed woods and her incredible talent.
"The idea of creating a jewelry collection came through my then pre-teen daughter, because there didn't seem to be in the market jewelry that was appropriate for pre-teen and teenage girls who are always in-tune with the fashion trends," recalls Beth.
"I also find inspiration in my childhood memories, and I believe that the jewelry passed on from one generation to another creates lasting links and stories.
"I have a geometric and playful style, sometimes exotic even. I love to surprise people! I try to work only with natural gems, and whenever possible with reclaimed woods. I love to combine materials."
Beth has participated in several important fashion events such as Fashion Rio and the Brazilian Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2011. For this event, her “Brazilian Star” earrings which she designed specifically for the festival were chosen to award the best performing actress.
