As a fine artist, Gueth has found a different form of expression through handcrafts. She has developed an innovative art form featuring a variety of colors, lines, circles, and other geometric forms which she paints with
nanquin, a Chinese ink, on a variety of media. By recycling vinyl records, Gueth crafts a variety of accent pieces, bags, and jewelry.
"When I started sketching on notebooks, I was aware that I could go farther. Some people supported me, some didn't, but what is important to me is to follow what my heart was saying: stay on this path.
"I took all the different art classes when I was in school and when I wanted to study Fine Arts, my mother was against it. I ended up studying pedagogy, but six months before graduating I left the course. I worked in different things, but couldn't identify with any.
"Through art I found myself again. In 2000 I began painting little by little. I am a self-taught artist and my work comes from talent, curiosity, and creativity.
"Imagining and creating gives me a sense of liberation. I painted my first compositions on Canson paper and later on I became interested in handcrafts. I am always searching for recycled materials, as less industrialized as possible.
"Joining Novica is a completely new experience for me. They are showing me the world through what I love to do the most: Art."
