"I was born in the beautiful province of Callao and I grew up with seven siblings. Our parents made sure we all finished school as they instilled in us strong study habits. I started to knit when I was 12 years old, mother taught me, and ever since then, my love for knitting has bloomed. When I was 17 years old I took up crocheting and I refined my skills.
"At first I gave away everything I knitted as birthday presents to friends and family. But then I started selling to friends who couldn't wait until their birthday for me to knit something for them, so they started placing orders.
"What I love most is knitting, followed closely by listening to music and going for long walks as they strengthen my health.
"I describe my craft as a type of work that needs a whole lot of inspiration, but above all, you really have to enjoy knitting as it requires much patience. I am motivated by a desire to provide for my family, as well as to please others with my designs, because it makes me happy. The greatest challenge I've had to face in life is to excel, whether it is in my personal life or professional, always striving to evolve as a person with good values.
"I hope foreigners get to know a bit more about my country, and that they take away with them something from here, either for themselves or for their homes.
"I’ve presented my work in different venues around my beautiful country. I would like to thank Novica customers for allowing me into their lives with a product that is crafted by hand and 100% Peruvian."
