"I was born in Lima on July 23, 1962 where I grew up with my parents and sisters. My father was a hard worker and provided for the family so my mother could dedicate herself exclusively to raising their children.
"I was always quite attracted toward native arts and handicrafts from the time I was a girl, and I was always creating very artistic craft work. I took classes in making porcelain flowers, cold ceramic, toys, cut paper art, decorative bags and boxes, macramé and more.
"After several years working in an office, I realized that wasn't what I was looking for and I decided to study jewelry as a hobby. But it became so much more! Today, all my time is devoted to this beautiful art of silverwork.
"I began by showing my jewelry to friends and relatives and they bought everything, so I thought this might be a way I could support myself. Eventually, I decided to work with jewelry full time, and do what I really enjoy. Life is short and you should do what you like to do, something that makes you happy.
"Later on, I took more specialized courses in settings, the lost wax process, weaving and braiding silver strands, and every day I learned more and more. Little by little, I set up a formal, professional workshop, which is necessary in today's competitive world.
"I'm inspired by fashion trends and try to be at the vanguard of international styles. I read magazines, look through catalogs and watch fashion TV. This all results in the creation of new jewelry designs that their owners will love.
"I admire the variety and fine workmanship of Peruvian jewelers, and especially their desire to get ahead and give their families a better future. We are ingenious and creative. I'd love to show the world how valuable we are through our handicrafts and the millenary culture and history that back us.
"Thank you for inviting me into your homes via the Internet. Each and every piece of my jewelry is handcrafted with heartfelt effort so that a bit of Peru will become a part of your life."
