The long-nosed Bondres with his wrinkled visage brings a comic touch to Balinese dance-drama. The beloved character represents the common man, usually appearing at the end of the performance. Nyoman Setiawan's Bondres half-mask leaves the chin uncovered, to make his character more realistic.
