"I was born in a small city near Semarang, in Central Java. Art has been in my blood ever since I was a little boy, when I regularly participated in art competitions and often received awards. One of the awards I am most proud of is for creating a miniature
joglo made of tiny matchsticks. A joglo is a specific kind of house, traditional on the Javanese islands.
"After graduating from high school, I moved from one place to another to discover new things and to get more experience in life. From these travels, I now know more about art, theater, music, and fine art.
"In 2004, I moved to Bali. In that same year, I met a painter from Spain, and from him I learned much more about art. I was inspired to create something unique that people would enjoy, and of high quality. That is how I came to make my art works from wood combined with glass or ceramic."
