Indian artisan Siddique beautifully portrays rural life in this batik wall hanging. A village woman adorned in traditional attire and jewelry carries two pots of water on her head from the village well or maybe from the nearby riverside. She gracefully balances the pots on her head without spilling a drop. Rich colors in tones of red, sky blue, mustard yellow, beige, off white, peach, olive green and black are all used in the design, and help to create the feeling of heat and sun that characterizes life in India. The decorative piece is marked by multiple loops at the top for hanging on a rod, and black cotton borders help create a neat finish.

"Absolutely Gorgeous"
As pretty as this scarf looks online, its even prettier in person! The colors are very rich and vibrant, and will go with so many different things. The generous size (which is given in the dimensions) is larger that youd expect from reading the numbers vs. actually holding it out in your hands. Its such great quality, made with soft and smooth natural fabrics -- love love love!!

"Deep, beautiful colors!"
This batik wall hanging looks very beautiful hanging in my bedroom. I purchased it along with Benevolent Ganesha. At certain times of the day, the gold colored background just glows against the backdrop of my deep red walls. I really love this piece!

"Beautiful on My Screened Porch"
This is a high quality Batik wall hanging that looks great hung on my screened porch. I use a bamboo rod to hang it, and it works well. Very pleased.
