Fernando Sayan Polo celebrates the Holy Family in the tradition of the Cuzco School of religious portraiture. Letting go of the classic chiaroscuro, Sayan Polo creates a bright, colorful composition featuring Jesus walking with Mary and Joseph. Above them, God and his angels bless their path with the company of the Holy Spirit in the shape of a white dove. The Peruvian artist paints with oils and adds bronze leaf applications as he replicates the Colonial style of religious art.
