Adapting traditional Ghanaian symbols to the 21st century, Joseph Adibleku paints an evocative composition. What at first appears to be an elongated shield is at once a rocket. "It is a space ship taking off," the artist explains. The space ship has its destination before it takes off, and the same should be for everyone – we need to be focused on the goals we set for ourselves to get to our desired destination."
