The sodalite "Inca Man" and "Inca Woman" sculptures arrived today and I am thrilled with them! The personality in each piece is so charming, I find myself smiling each time I glance their way and the artistry/workmanship is wonderful! I bought a 'Little Blue Kingfisher' and a 'Rufous Hummingbird' from Mr. Macedo. Both are giving a verry naturalistic impression. The gemstones he uses have a life of their own and by shaping and combining them he arrvies to animate his creatures. The joy he puts in his work, as he says, is clearly perceivable. It appears every time I look at the birds. And it may be even a bigger joy giving his works of art to someone as a present - the little kingfisher was a present to my mother. Everyone who has a little sense for beauty will love these sculptures. There is no doubt that this man is capable artisan.

There is only one point of criticism. His work seems to vary a little in quality. The pictures at novica show slightly subtler wrought pieces than those I received. But I am not truly unhappy about those little differences.

My recommendation is: buy now, you won't regret!

This artist is extremely talented. My mother is an avid collector of gemstone birds and Mr. Mecedo has certainly captured something that will bring great joy to my mother for years to come. It was the best gift I could have ever given her! Thank you!

I received my sculpture Iguana in the Sun on my husbands birthday and it is a lovely carving! The detail and feel of the Iguana are superb. My husband loved this present very much and I would like to thank Novica for the excellent service and Willy Macedo for his skill and craftmanship in creating such a lovely little Iguana.

I bought the 'Monitor Lizard' sculpture as a gift for my dad. His pet monitor had just passed away, and I hoped it would lighten the mood a little.

The statue is very beautifully carved, and it really does remind everyone who sees it of Fluffy. (Of course the lizard's name was Fluffy.)

The carving is wonderful, and the shipping and customer service was very good. I'm impressed.

Amazing detail even on the smallest one, they are so beautifully done. This set is not the first Gemstone Sculpture Figurines for me, but they are clearly my favorites now!
