I have been fortunate to be able to travel to several different countries. My husband is from Iran and every couple of years we take our four sons and spend the summer with his family in Esfahan, Iran. Since there are no direct flights between the US and Iran, we always stop somewhere in Europe for a few days on the way. I think the experience of international travel has opened my sons' eyes in many ways and made them (and me!) aware of how many other cultures are in the world. So many differences and yet people are essentially the same everywhere.
