"I decided to work only with natural materials found in Indonesia, such as coconut shell, coconut wood, sono wood, and other types of local woods."

Born in Java, Muhammad Fauzi became aware of Indonesia's rich artistry and culture when he began to work at his brother's batik shop in Bali after graduating from high school.

"I lived in Austria for a while, and I missed the natural, beautiful art of Indonesia," Muhammad recalls. "When I returned to Bali, my brother and his wife encouraged me to create my own jewelry designs. I decided to work only with natural materials found in Indonesia, such as coconut shell, coconut wood, sono wood, and other types of local woods. For some designs I include resin and glass beads.

"I believe my jewelry collections are different to others available in the market in terms of design and quality. I work together with a team of talented people and our aim is to create unique and beautiful accessories. There are also five women who are homemakers who thread the necklaces and bracelets as way of supplementing their families' income. Their work schedule is very flexible as their priority is their family and home."
