"I've always been interested in the idea of making something Peruvian that would promote our heritage and carry our identity. When I was very young, my family moved to the United States and I stayed here. Eventually I began seeking an activity that mixed our cultures and always carried our seal. This is how I began in the world of art.
"One day I went to visit my family. I was talking with a friend who suggested I take them some jewelry from Peru. This aroused my curiosity and I began to shop for designs to take. But I realized that I really liked the materials and the energy of the gems that echoed the abundance of nature here. In this way, and without thinking too much about it, I started my career as a jeweler. Today I have a workshop where we all create a part of each design. The result is a wonderful piece of jewelry to enhance a woman's beauty.
"I'd describe my art as energy and color. Each piece is crafted with very high quality and is finely finished. I've been doing this since 2001 and my motivation is the quality of Peruvian art. I want to show the world how vast and marvelous our history and culture are. I design jewelry set with precious stones and polished seashells in a singular example of tradition and elegance.
"My greatest challenge has been to live alone, to get ahead in life with my family so far away. Today I feel very proud of everything I've achieved.
"I invite Novica shoppers to discover the energy, color and mysticism of nature by wearing fine Peruvian jewelry with novel designs."
