"I was born in Mexico City and was brought up in a bilingual and bicultural home. My father was French Monegasque and my mother Mexican. I went to the University of Grenoble in France, and finished my studies in the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. My husband and two children have always supported me.
"I've always been very proud of my Mexican heritage because it is so varied and rich. I especially love handicrafts and folk art since the colors, forms, and textures are truly unique. My passion for traditional arts inspired me be creative and do something on my own – something that would help artisans while offering unique products. I want to transform classic Mexican handicrafts into more modern, different, and innovative creations while preserving ancestral techniques.
"I began by designing jute handbags a few years ago with different color combinations, adding flowers, making longer handles, and lining them. In my search for further creativity, I came upon aluminum and became fascinated by the way it is produced and woven, as well as the long hours dedicated to polishing each strip.
"I am extremely proud of the diligent artists who work with me in the creation of my products. All of us pay attention to the details, and no two items are the same. The perceived irregularities of color and texture are a sign of its authenticity."
