"Hi, I'm Patricia. I've always liked drawing. My mother is a painter and sculptor, and I learned my taste for art from her. I started drawing when I was a little girl, but I didn't start to work in textiles and notebooks until the end of 2002.
"As far as my inspiration goes, I think there's too much reality around here. I like fantasy. It's fun to think about things that don't exist, or things that may exist but some people don't see them.
"Mexico influences my designs. I am Mexican and I like all the cultures there are in my country with their thousands of forms and colors.
"The handicrafts of my country feel authentic, filled with meaning, and I think that they tell us things such as stories and feelings.
"My greatest challenges have been to live alone and to make a living doing what I love. My dreams for the future include being able to live in different countries, to see many people, landscapes, things everywhere. This greatly enriches me. I'd like to be able to do it."
