"My name is Roxana Fajardo Navarro. I was born in Lima on April 17, and my artwork came about as an alternative to do something different. Our family tradition is ceramics, and I decided to create decorative items bathed in silver. Peru has a rich tradition of silver work and handicrafts.
"I began this adventure in 1977 in Bogota, Colombia, where I started crafting articles in silver and silver plate. But I missed my country, my family, my people and our food, so I returned to Peru in 1996.
"I've spent some ten years now surrounded by a great team of artisans. Innovation and quality are very important to me, and I find I must always be creating.
"Each piece is lovingly crafted and carefully inspected before it leaves our hands. Today's world is a grand showcase for our designs."
