"I first became interested in art in 1990, when I was in secondary school. At that time, I liked to draw illustrations from rock music cassette covers.
"Unable to continue to a government school, after graduation I went to art school where I learned many things about art, both in theory and practice. Then I continued my art studies and got to know to some senior painters, from whom I learned painting after school.
"My art work is mainly painting. I use it as medium to express myself because, in my opinion, art is the best means of expression to reveal what is inside the artist's mind.
"There is no limit or summit in the process of art. The world of art will keep moving as long as artists exist and continue to create."
Made Paramahita has exhibited his works throughout Indonesia. He was a finalist for the Nokia Art Award and received an award from Rektor Unud (both in 2001). In addition, he took second place in the Graffiti Activities For Humanity competition (2002).
