Sandoval Huaman

Novica artists Juan Sandoval and Yanett Huaman married in 2006. Although both continue to paint, as children of Don Gerardo Huaman and Ubaldina Paucar, they decided to work together in the family art of ceramics. Juan and Yanett are currently designing exclusive collections for Novica.

Juan, born in 1978 and Yanett, born in 1976, majored in painting at Lima's prestigious Escuela de Bellas Artes and graduated in 2003. Their son Juan Diego was born in 2007.

Apart from the family influence, both artists took ceramic courses in school where they worked with different techniques, pigments, and the application of textures. They continue experimenting and developing their chosen craft.

"For us, the ceramic arts permit us to display our roots and our traditions, combining them with designs for the modern world," they affirm.
