About this Artist
"Hi, I'm Armando Ramírez. All my life, I've lived in a town of artisans, and this has motivated me to create new art. As a child I enjoyed inventing toys, and soon yearned to create a unique style of art. Environmentally enamored, I now transform recycled goods.”"At first, little by little, I began to craft figures from scraps and discarded mechanical parts – mostly from cars and bicycles. And so I began to create sculptures, soldering the pieces together and giving them shape as I imagined they should look.
"The process involves selecting recycled items that can be used. I separate them and soak them in a cleaning solution to remove any impurities. I solder them together until I achieve my design, then I give it a protective coat of glossy varnish.
"My sculptures are so successful that today I sell only my own works. They are rustic in nature, designed to recycle discarded objects by converting them into art. Thanks to the creativity that God gave me, today I have an enjoyable and better way of life.
“Because I believed and I put my trust in Novica and the people working there, I was able to formalize my craft and give continuity to something that was becoming a dream too difficult to achieve. Great and significant changes came to my life! Novica helped me take the last steps towards consolidating my workshop. Now I can plan projects because I have the financial stability to do so as well as enlarge my workshop so I may offer people in my community safe employment opportunities.

I ordered the Rustic Warriors chess set for a Christmas present. It is absolutely fantastic, I LOVE it. hello armando, i have ordered several items of your iron sculpture collection and i think they are extremely beautiful in its craftsmanship and detail. however i just wanted to know whether these items need any protective treatment to prevent it from rusting or not. all the best and keep it up.. harsh seksaria

I purchased one of Armando Ramirez's auto part sculptures (steam locomotive) for my husband as a 6th anniversary present. He is fascinated by trains and had recently disclosed a wish to start collecting "real" art, as opposed to prints & commercial decorative pieces. When I found out that the traditional material for a 6th anniversary gift is "Iron" the metal train sculpture fit the bill perfectly. He was in awe of the details and intricate work put into this piece. Armando is a genius. Thank you very much for the perfect present. I cannot begin to thank you for this incredible work of art. My husband has been working in the video industry for over 10 years and I have never seen anything that could honor his chosen profession. I found Novica and Armando Ramirez' work, while searching for a 6th anniversary gift for my husband. I was dismayed to discover that while Armando Ramirez did make a "Rustic Camera Man" statuette, it was "unavailable at this time". Not only was the sculpture beautiful and very reasonably priced, the staff went out of their way to expedite the shipping process so it would arrive in time for a very special visitor of mine. I bought the Rustic Standard Motorbike as a gift for someone, but I was so impressed with it, I will soon be ordering a motorbike for myself. Mr. Ramirez is ingenious in the way he refashions old auto parts. A very talented man. One caution: these are indeed "rustic," as advertised, and may not appeal to the figurine crowd. But they make very cool gifts for guys, especially guys who don't normally own or display decorative objects. They will display this.
