Wayan Darsi

"My name is Wayan Darsi and I was born in Bali. I married a Balinese man, Made Lemes, and we have two children. Together we live peacefully, loving each other, and that is why I want to give them the best.

"I have been interested in art work ever since I was a child. Maybe this is because I was born and grew up in Bali, in a village of beauty and art. I started to craft products with beads in 1993, with the hope of finding success in the not too distant future. One day, an expert basket artisan came to my place; she took an interest in my work and she taught me how to make various types of beaded designs. She was a very good teacher and to this day we remain close friends.
