At the top of our list of new offices is Guatemala, the most populous nation in Central America and the former center of the ancient Maya civilization. Over 10% of the population of Guatemala work as artisans, approximately 75% of which are women and live in rural areas.

Opening a regional office will address economic development in the artisan sector, helping raise many families out of poverty and increase the standard of living in rural communities throughout the nation.
